Accessibility statement

The Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure (BMIMI), in collaboration with the infrastructure operators ASFINAG and ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG, strives to ensure that websites are in compliance with the Web Accessibility Act (Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz; WZG) as amended to implement Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 regarding accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (Official Journal L 327 dated 2 December 2016, p. 1).

This accessibility statement applies to the website oesterreich-unterwegs.com (as well as the domains oesterreich-unterwegs.gv.at and oesterreich-unterwegs.at, which are redirected to it).

Status of compliance with requirements

This website is largely compliant with conformity level AA of the ‘Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1 and with the applicable European standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03) pursuant to Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This statement was prepared on 6 March 2025.

The website’s compliance with the WZG for implementing the requirements of Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was assessed in March 2025 by an external service provider in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA. The home page, contact page, FAQ, legal notice, privacy policy for the study and privacy policy for the website were reviewed.

Enforcement procedure

If you are not satisfied with the response you receive from the contact above, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft; FFG). The FFG accepts complaints electronically via the contact form.

The FFG will review the complaints to determine whether they relate to violations of the provisions of the Web Accessibility Act, especially with regard to deficiencies in compliance with accessibility requirements, by the federal government or an institution associated with it.

If the complaint is justified, the FFG must issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the legal entities in question and propose measures to remedy the deficiencies.
